Installation on third culture kids - 2020
A personal experience living as a third culture kid, derived from two opposing cultures. An attempt of visually connecting the two sides and creating a more nuanced transition. An explanation of a feeling, potential and difficulty that comes along with growing up dealing with what is part of you.
The installation is a handmade wall piece that correlates with a textual video of a poem projected on it with an overlay of audio reading it. For visual effect the installation also includes a fan, which enhances the bead work on the wall piece.
